PRICE for individual class – 20 USD / 60 minutes
Cambridge exam it is considered among young people to be more complicated than the previous one, which, according to the representatives of its authorized support center (French Alliance of the Republic of Moldova) is not true, but we decided to inform you about this. It is a complex exam, which you can take both in written form and on the computer. The specificity of this test is that it is a little more exclusive than the previous one, with support sessions being less frequent and accessible (approximately five sessions per year). In Moldova, there is only one authorized center for taking the respective test, which is the French Alliance, where you can also enroll in the training courses. The results of such an examination usually come over an unstable term between 1 and 2 months.
Why Cambridge English?
This test enjoys international recognition in more than 20 thousand universities around the world, being suitable both for emigration, employment abroad, and admissions to universities and projects outside the Republic of Moldova.
Its biggest advantage is probably the fact that the diploma certifying the level of knowledge of the language is valid for the entire life of its owner.
What does Cambridge English offer?
Unfortunately, in the Republic of Moldova, not all levels of English language can be certified through this test, but the most substantial and necessary ones are also accessible here, being offered all levels between A2 (KET) and C1 (Cambridge English Advanced/CAE).
The Cambridge exam also uses a unique marking method, which involves a ‘safety lever’, which allows exam takers to fail the test one level down or even move up a level, which means that the person taking, for example, the test for level C1 (CAE), in case of greater success, should reach level C2 and, respectively, in case of unforeseen failure, take level B2 (Cambridge English First). This detail is considered the second biggest advantage of the exam.
The Cambridge English test diploma is also recognized by the Ministry of Education as certifying English language skills, which means that it is an eligible document for its holder to be released with an ex officio grade of 10 from the exam of the baccalaureate in the foreign language test.
Exam structure
The exam consists of three to four tests depending on the level to be certified, during which the reading abilities are assessed (this test at the high levels being crossed with the “Use of English” test), sawing , listening and speaking. A certain time is allocated for each depending on the type of test chosen. The CAE, for example, is composed as follows: Reading and Use of English (1h 30 min, eight parts), Writing (1h 30 min, two texts), Listening (40 min, four parts) and Speaking (15 min). Exams have simpler structure and content as the certification level decreases. For other details, visit the links attached below.
